A Mother’s Wish
By · CommentsWhat a mother wants…a mother gets! Mary Liss had been wanting family portraits for many years. Hectic schedules and conflicting activities had made it a challenge but they recently were able to schedule their session and grant a mother’s wish. All of Richard & Mary’s children and grandchildren gathered at Denny’s in Kearney to make Mary a very happy mother and grandmother. She chose to order her prints in the vintage finish so she could hang them in her dining room and see them every day. The Liss Family was wonderful to work with and we are happy to make a mother’s wish come true! Their portraits are on display at the Denny’s Hilltop Mall Display.

It was no easy task however, 7 of the 9 family members had to travel to Kearney for the portraits, one traveling over 900 miles! Big Red Nebraska blood runs deep for this family…fueling their loving family and the home team HUSKERS! They are being featured at the Hilltop Mall Display in Kearney! Thank you Johnson Family and hope all is well with you!
Grandpa Denny’s Favorite Granddaughter turns 6 Feb. 23
By · Comments“Grampa Denny’s favorite Granddaughter is 6 years old today.” I can just hear her say with a cute little look on her face…but I’m your only Granddaughter. This image was taken with her being a test model holding a testcard, but she is too cute not to create a portrait along the way.

Keith is going to be our slave for the day tomorrow and we are hoping to get more work out of him tomorrow than when he worked for us in 1980! ! ! Keith is a 1976 Kearney High Grad and his parents the late Andy and the very nice Nevabelle Howe are our long time friends.
Senior Spotlight!
By · CommentsWurtz has always been a star in Denny’s eyes!
Logan Wurtz sunk a three (his first points of the game) with 6.5 seconds left in the first overtime of the Kearney High Bearcats’ game against Bellevue East. He scored all ten of his points after regulation play. The Bearcats, with the heroic help of Wurtz, won 70-64. Congrats Logan, on your senior year accomplishments!
Restoring The Past
By · CommentsSometime before Christmas an older gentleman contacted us about copy restoration for a photo of his wife from her high school graduation. It was the only photo he had of her from that time and he wanted it restored as a surprise. He mailed it into the studio and as all older photos are, it was spotted, faded, and showing wear and tear. After quite some time of not hearing from him, Pat wrote to him about the work that needed to be done and the cost of restoration. She sent the photo back to him with a letter enclosed that included the price for an 8×10 restoration. He then called her disappointed that he could not afford the cost of an 8×10 on his minimal budget so he settled for a 4×5 copy. He mailed in a $40 check to cover the 4×5. When the check arrived Pat decided to surprise him by sending back the $40 check as well as a 5×7 copy of the photo. She wanted to do what she could to help the gentleman out. She knew it was something special and provided him the copy free of charge. The years go by but an old photograph restores memories of a forgotten time.
