Denny & Pat Buy a “Slave!”
By · CommentsDenny here >>> At our January Professional Photographers of Nebraska Conference Pat and I bid on Keith Howe in a charity auction. Keith is going to be our slave for the day tomorrow and we are hoping to get more work out of him tomorrow than when he worked for us in 1980! ! ! Keith is a 1976 Kearney High Grad and his parents the late Andy and the very nice Nevabelle Howe are our long time friends.
Senior Spotlight!
By · CommentsWurtz has always been a star in Denny’s eyes!
Logan Wurtz sunk a three (his first points of the game) with 6.5 seconds left in the first overtime of the Kearney High Bearcats’ game against Bellevue East. He scored all ten of his points after regulation play. The Bearcats, with the heroic help of Wurtz, won 70-64. Congrats Logan, on your senior year accomplishments!
Restoring The Past
By · CommentsSometime before Christmas an older gentleman contacted us about copy restoration for a photo of his wife from her high school graduation. It was the only photo he had of her from that time and he wanted it restored as a surprise. He mailed it into the studio and as all older photos are, it was spotted, faded, and showing wear and tear. After quite some time of not hearing from him, Pat wrote to him about the work that needed to be done and the cost of restoration. She sent the photo back to him with a letter enclosed that included the price for an 8×10 restoration. He then called her disappointed that he could not afford the cost of an 8×10 on his minimal budget so he settled for a 4×5 copy. He mailed in a $40 check to cover the 4×5. When the check arrived Pat decided to surprise him by sending back the $40 check as well as a 5×7 copy of the photo. She wanted to do what she could to help the gentleman out. She knew it was something special and provided him the copy free of charge. The years go by but an old photograph restores memories of a forgotten time.
